Calling all young detectives! Join us on a thrilling adventure where science meets mystery. In this camp, participants will dive into hands-on experiments to explore the fascinating world of geology, uncover the secrets of the Earth’s crust, and discover how gemstones are formed. As they follow clues and solve puzzles, our young investigators will work together to unravel the case of the missing Rainbow Gem, stolen by the elusive thief Yu.

ACTIVITY SCHEDULE – DAY 1

Time Activity Details
9.00 – 10.30 Chapter 1: The gathering of great detectives at the manor.

  • We will then break into groups and students will be introduced to their mission of the day.
  • Students will create a Detective team. 
  • We will delve into the story of the lost Crystal of the Dark Manor, where detectives have been summoned to assist the duke.
  • The young detective will venture out to collect clues around the manor.
10.30 – 10.45 Snack Break
10.45 – 12.30 Chapter 2: The Challenge of Wits and Observation

  • Layer of Earth: We will dive deep into the Earth’s many layers of soil to search for the level where crystals are formed.
  • Tracking Scattered Evidence: Clues are scattered around the Manor: fingerprints, scratch marks, footprints, broken glass. We will learn how to interpret and translate these clues.
  • Finding Witness: The young detectives need to practice their communication skills. Witnesses have information on what the culprit looks like, but asking the right questions is crucial.
12.30 – 13.00 Lunch
13.00 – 14.30 Chapter 3: Growing Crystal

  • Experiment! : Young detectives will learn about the formation of crystals and conduct hands-on science experiments to create their own crystal models.
14.30-15.00 Afternoon Break
15.00-16.00 Chapter 4 : Digging Challenge 

  • The Sand Pit :  We will embark on a journey to the land of sand to dig for ancient fossils, which may hold important clues.

 

 

ACTIVITY SCHEDULE – DAY 2

9.00 – 10.30

Chapter 5: The Great Detective Gadgets.

  • We will visit the hidden laboratory of the mad scientist to learn how to build stealth detective gadgets to aid us in the quest ahead.
  • Students will design and build their own gadgets from blueprints, including a Detective Hat, an Invisible Ink Kit, and 3D goggles.
10.30 – 10.45 Snack Break
10.45 – 12.30

Chapter 6: Exploring the Jungle 

  • All the clues lead to the jungle surrounding the manor. We will prepare for the unexplored jungle, heading towards the highest peak of this land to reclaim the lost family heirloom.
12.30 – 13.00 Lunch Break
13.00 – 14.30

Chapter 7: Making Of Gemstone

  • Young detectives will conduct a science experiment using resin to create their very own one-of-a-kind gemstone—uniquely crafted and unlike any other in the world.
14.30 – 15.00 Afternoon Break

Chapter 8: Reclaim the Rainbow Crystal

  • The mischievous figure reveals himself to be the master detective and the duke himself. The lost heirloom was merely his scheme to gather young detectives from around the kingdom to practice and improve their skills. His final challenge lies ahead, where we must utilize all of our knowledge, tracking, observing, and problem-solving skills to overcome his ultimate challenges!
